Pros
- Powered by the Unisoc T820, a solid performer, it handles most GameCube and PS2 games with ease with some harder to emulate games requiring a little tweaking. Overall, it’s a significant step forward in terms of power and capabilities compared to the RG405V.
- 960 x 720 screen is beautiful and crisp. Gets really bright or dim when needed.
- The bulky design enhances its ergonomics compared to similar vertical handhelds like the RG40XXV, making it more comfortable for extended gaming sessions.
- Fans are relatively quiet even on maximum performance.
- New hall analog sticks are taller and have more range of movement than the RG405V. No cardinal snapping observed.
- D-pad and other buttons are just as good as those on recent Anbernic devices.
- Good battery life, up to 8 hours of gaming.
Cons
- Design may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
- Speakers are not great, shallow and not front firing.
- Screen has thick bezels.
- Analog sticks are too tall, compromising the device’s pocketability.
- No fast charging.
