Pros
- Beautiful, premium, and minimalist design. It’s easily one of the best-looking devices Anbernic has ever released. Device feels great on the hands as well.
- Impressive 4-inch display with thin bezels, giving the device a premium feel and making it punch well above its price range.
- Controls are solid, similar to those found on other H700 series devices.
- The H700 chip plays up to PS1 games with no issues. Some Dreamcast, N64 and PSP games may require tweaking.
- Various custom firmware are available at launch thanks to the multitude of other H700 devices.
Cons
- The analog stick has a limited range of movement and tends to snap to the cardinal directions.
- Screen doesn’t get dim enough, which might be too bright for low-light environments.
- Sacrifices ergonomics for aesthetics, prioritizing its design over comfort during extended gameplay sessions.
