Advantages of the RBG30
- Comes with a 1:1 aspect ratio screen. There are only a few devices with this screen and the PowKiddy RGB30 is one of the best.
- Higher resolution 720 x 720 4 inch screen.
- The Rockchip RK3566 is a better performer than the Allwinner H700 on the RG35XX Plus. It can even play some Sega Saturn games which is not at all possible on the H700.
- Stereo speakers.
- Horizontal layout.
Advantages of the Anbernic RG35XX Plus
- Game Boy styled vertical device.
- Smaller and more pocketable.
- Better battery life even on a smaller capacity battery.
- Cheaper.
TLDR
Both are great devices, you can’t go wrong with either. However, if PICO-8 gaming is your thing, then the RGB30 is the perfect device for you.
