RG35XX Pro: Anbernic’s Best Vertical Yet?

Anbernic is back again with another handheld, and this time it’s the RG35XX Pro. Yep, they’re still milking the RG35XX name, but this one comes with the “Pro” badge. Intriguing. Maybe this will finally be a significantly more powerful device?

It comes in three colors: white, black, and teal. The vertical design is back, and dual joysticks are finally making their debut on this form factor — which should make playing N64 and PSP games feel a little less like finger yoga. Some folks are already calling it a clone of the BattleXP G350, and yeah, side by side, it definitely gives off G350 vibes.

You’re getting the ubiquitous 3.5-inch display with a 640×480 resolution in a nice, retro-friendly 4:3 aspect ratio. Basically perfect for anything from NES to PS1 without the weird stretching or pillar boxing that ruins the mood.

On the connectivity front, you’ve got 5G Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and HDMI out. Basically all the boxes are ticked for modern features.

As for the chipset? Still a mystery. Anbernic hasn’t confirmed anything yet, and everyone’s quietly wondering if it’ll be another Allwinner H700. If it is… well, that’d be a bit of a shrug moment. But if they surprise us with something newer? This thing might actually turn heads.

We don’t have a price or release date yet, but considering how many devices Anbernic released last year, this should be available for purchase pretty soon.
