Advantages of Anbernic RG353V
- More pocketable.
- This may be subjective but due to size, the RG353V looks better than the RG405V.
- More mature CFW.
- TV out.
- Allows dual booting of Linux and Android.
Advantages of Anbernic RG405V
- Newer and more powerful device. Supports emulation of 6th generation consoles.
- Due to its size, it has better ergonomics than the RG353V.
- Huge battery up to 8 hours battery life.
- In theory, 0.5 inches may not seem like much, but in practice, the disparity between the 4-inch screen of the RG405V and the 3.5-inch display of the RG353V is quite significant.
TLDR
Our recommendation is to go for the RG405V as it is a year newer, more powerful and more comfortable to use. Only go for the RG353V if TV out is a must or if you can’t stand the bulkiness of the RG405V.
