The AYANEO 2 is the latest and most powerful device released by seasoned retro console maker AYANEO. It comes with the all powerful AMD Ryzen 6800U processor which allows it to play modern Windows games as well as emulated games on retro consoles. It has some key features to stand out from the competition such as fingerprint scanner and hall sensor controls with its only downside is the battery life which is common for x86 handheld consoles.
Pros
- Beautiful IPS screen so nice that it can be mistaken as an OLED panel.
- Powerful. Plays modern games as well as games from older consoles without issues.
- Controls with built in hall sensor are responsive and accurate. Probably one of the best in the market.
- Comes with 3 USB-C ports, two of which are of type USB4. If you have an eGPU, you can connect this to the AYANEO 2 and play games at much higher details and performance.
Cons
- Battery life is neither good nor bad. Depending on the game you are playing, it can be as short as just 90 minutes or as long as 4 hours.
- There is room for improvement in terms of ergonomics.
- Price.
