Advantages of GPD Win 4
- Windows 11 will be familiar to those used to the Windows interface.
- There are more variants with more RAM and storage should you need/want them.
- Faster storage as the GPD Win 4 is using PCIe 4.
- The GPD Win 4 is more compact than the Steam Deck and its builb quality is better.
- Higher resolution display
- QWERTY keyboard will be useful if you plan to use the GPD Win 4 as a productivity device.
Advantages of Steam Deck
- Cheaper.
- The community for the Steam Deck is much larger than the GPD Win 4 and thus is easier for you to get support if required.
TLDR
Our preference between these two devices will be the Steam Deck as it is half as expensive as the GPD Win 4. However if you have the budget up to $1000, you should seriously consider the GPD Win 4 as it is packed with more features and the latest technology and this makes it more future proof than the Steam Deck.
