Advantages of R36S
- You can get it as low as $38. That is almost half the price of the RG35XX H.
- Slightly better display than the RG35XX H although this is subjective.
Advantages of Anbernic RG35XX H
- Comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- Performs slightly better than the R36S.
- Stereo speakers.
- The buttons are not loud, unlike the R36S.
- Horizontal orientation means better comfort and ergonomics.
- TV out!
TLDR
These two devices are best sellers. You can’t go wrong with either. However if we have to pick, we prefer the RG35XX H as it feels more like a complete device. The R36S is a fine device and probably the best decent device you can get at its price range. However the loud clicky buttons and the lack of Wi-Fi and BT is a letdown. But hey it’s cheaper.
