The Retroid Pocket 2S is the successor to the Retroid Pocket 2+. It has the same design language and form factor like the 2+, but with a new Unisoc T610 processor and hall joysticks.

Pros

The Retroid Pocket 2S’s starting price at just below $100 gives it an impressive price to performance ratio. It is hard to find any other device which offers similar performance at the same price point.
Setting up the device is fast and easy thanks to Retroid’s custom setup process.
The hall joysticks for analog sticks and upgraded action buttons enhance the overall gaming experience.
Front-facing speakers is really crisp and can be loud if required.
The Unisoc T610 may not be the most powerful in the market today but it is able to handle most of the 4:3 generation games.
The familiar design of the of the Pocket 2S allows it to be comfortable yet pocketable.

Cons

The device’s 4:3 display comes with a fairly large bezel. It looks outdated.
With more 4:3 4 inch devices in the market, 3.5 inches displays feel a little small nowadays. A bigger screen in the 2S would definitely make it a better buy.
While it handles most retro games exceptionally well, it struggles with emulating Nintendo Wii and PS2 games.
