Advantages of PowKiddy X55
- Much bigger screen. It is also 16:9 so the X55 suits you better if you are into streaming modern games or the PSP.
- Comes with stacked shoulder buttons.
- Bigger and better ergonomics than the RGB30.
- It has double the RAM of the RGB30.
Advantages of PowKiddy RGB30
- Smaller and easily fits into the pocket.
- 1:1 screen allows you to play most 3:2 and 4:3 retro games with significantly thinner black bars than on a 16:9 screen. While some are OK with thick black bars, most prefer not to have any black bars.. Yours truly falls into the latter category.
- Perfect for Pico 8 games.
- Way more color options.
- Slightly better battery life.
TLDR
Get the X55 if you are into PSP or widescreen gaming. For everything else, the PowKiddy RGB30 is the better choice.
