The Retroid Pocket 2+ is a very good starter device for anyone looking to get their hands on a retro gaming console. It’s low price and great performance are definitely plus points which help it stand out from the competition.
Pros
- Great value! You get a lot for the price you are paying for.
- Powerful CPU/GPU combination at this price point. You can play all the way up to N64, PSP and Dreamcast without hiccups.
- Built in Retroid Launcher is quite easy to use and it allows the device to be set up quickly.
- Buttons are comfortable and build quality is quite good.
Cons
- Not as ergonomic as it could have been due to its squarish design
- Right analog joystick isn’t a real joystick. It doesn’t work very well but thankfully the amount of games needing this is minimal.
- Touch screen responsiveness could have been better.
